Marillion With Friends From The Orchestra Live 2019 Tour In Rome

Date: 12.10.19. Venue: Auditorium Conciliazione, Via della Conciliazione 4, 00193 Rome, Italy.

British rock band Marillion return to Rome as part of their Marillion With Friends From The Orchestra Live 2019 Europe Tour. Originally formed in 1979 in the English town of Aylesbury, they emerged from the post-punk music scene in Britain and existed as a bridge between the styles of punk rock and classic progressive rock, becoming the most commercially successful neo-progressive rock band of the 1980s. In total they have sold more than 15 million albums worldwide and are best known for their international hits 'Kayleigh' and 'Lavender' which were released in 1985. Today, Marillion have a very strong fan base and are widely considered to have been one of the first mainstream acts to have fully recognised and tapped the potential for commercial musicians to interact with their fans via the internet, starting way back in around 1996. They will be playing songs spanning their 14 album-career with Steve Hogarth, who this year celebrates 30 years as a member of the band, as well as adding a six-piece band for the entire tour. All are excellent musicians as well as great friends, so there will be an immense chemistry on stage. Tickets are still available (from 40 Euros); click on the Marillion official link above for more info.
