The Rome Marathon 2019 takes place in the Italian capital on Sunday, the 7th April 2019. It must be one of the world's most picturesque marathons; starting off and ending at the Fori Imperiali, a 26-mile course that zigzags around some of the city's most famous tourist sights, including St. Peter's Basilica, the Mausoleum of Hadrian (Castel Sant'Angelo) and Piazza del Popolo. This is now the 25th edition of the city's marathon which is becoming more popular year by year. Registration for the full marathon is open to all until 25th March 2019. If you're looking for a lighter workout, you can register for the fun run. The 'Roma Fun Run La Stracittadina' is a 4-kilometre fun run or walk in which anyone can participate; classmates, grandparents and grandchildren, parents and children, pet owners and their pets and so forth! Participants can register at the Marathon Village until the day before the race which starts shortly after the marathon.
