'Roma Incontra Il Mondo' (Rome Meets The World) festival is a yearly event that takes part during the summer months in the gardens of Villa Ada in the northern part of central Rome. Labelled primarily as a music festival, the event also promotes a more cultural concept and the music concerts are complemented by art exhibitions, crafts, and culinary delights. In fact, its first edition in 1994 based its ethos as being against racism, war and the death penalty. The gardens at Villa Ada provide the second largest green space in Rome, making a perfect and idyllic backdrop for such a prestigious event. In the 2018 edition there is a vast array of musicians on the stage coming from all around the world. Some highlights include Godspeed You!
