The Rome Marathon 2018 takes place in the Italian capital on Sunday, the 8th April 2018. It must be one of the world's most picturesque marathons; starting off and ending at the Fori Imperiali, a 26-mile course that zigzags around some of the city's most famous tourist sights, including St. Peter's Basilica, the Mausoleum of Hadrian (Castel Sant'Angelo) and Piazza del Popolo. This is now the 23rd edition of the city's marathon which is becoming more popular year by year. Registration for the full marathon is open to all until 31st March 2018. If you're looking for a lighter workout, you can register for the fun run. The 'Roma Fun Run La Stracittadina' is a 4-kilometre fun run or walk in which anyone can participate; classmates, grandparents and grandchildren, parents and children, pet owners and their pets and so forth! Participants can register at the Marathon Village until the day before the race which starts shortly after the marathon.
