Roma Gospel Festival 2017 In Rome

To complement last week’s events in Rome blog, which was about Christmas At The Auditorium, we would like to provide you with some further information about one of that event’s most popular festivals, namely the Roma Gospel Festival. This year marks its 21st edition and again it will take place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica from the 21st - 31st December. The festival features the best choirs and gospel groups from the United States and is the largest of its kind in Europe. Highlights of the program include Emmanuel Djob By The Gospel River, winner of the French edition of 'The Voice' (21st - 23rd December at the Sala Sinopoli Hall), Benedict Gospel Choir, created and directed by the Reverend Darryl Izzard (25th December at the Sala Sinopoli Hall), Ananias “Markey” Montague & Salem Baptist Mass Choir, well known for mixing modern music with gospel (26th - 28th December at the Sala Sinopoli Hall) and the Harlem Gospel Choir, probably the most famous US gospel choir in the world (29th - 31st December at the Sala Sinopoli Hall).
