RomaEuropa Festival 2016 In Rome

The 31st edition of the RomaEuropa festival (2016) begins on the 21st September and finishes on the 3rd December. This year's slogan is 'Be Elsewhere' and the festival's name has been abbreviated to 'REF16'. In total, this fascinating festival, which brings together a vast array of dance, music and the performing arts, provides an amazing 160 days of exciting activities using some of Rome's best known venues (Auditorium Parco de la Musica, Teatro Olimpico, MACRO, Villa Farnesina, etc). Although the focus is mainly on classical music, the festival is famous for the diversity of its various performers. Therefore, there really should be something to appeal to everyone in the extensive programme. Attractions range from the more formal and glamorous events with expensive prices to the novel and free performance street art outside the cafés and bars - Rome comes alive this autumn with dance, exhibitions and music of all kinds.
