Photographers Of Rome Exhibition 2019

Dates: 17.05.19 - 16.06.19. Address: Museo di Roma, 2 Piazza Navona, 00186 Rome, Italy.

A new photographic exhibition takes place at the Museo di Rome (Museum Of Rome) from the 17th May to the 16th June 2019. Entitled 'Fotografi A Roma' (Photographers Of Rome), the exhibition is an extraordinary acquisition by the Roma Capitale collections: 100 pieces of work from the entire Commissione Roma (Rome Commission) project, conceived in 2003 and curated by Marco Delogu and developed over the duration of fifteen editions of the ‘Photography. International Festival of Rome’. These pieces enrich the collections of the Photographic Archive of the Museum of Rome, thus giving a contemporary look at the city that is part of the narration of historical Rome that is already contained in its permanent collection. The photos displayed at the exhibition show the Eternal City exactly as it is. Every single moment captured shows the reality of the city and its people: the beauty, ugliness, joy and hardships of daily life in the Italian capital. Some of the artists showcasing their work include Josef Koudelka, Olivo Barbieri, Anders Petersen, Martin Parr, Graciela Iturbide, Gabriele Basilico, Guy Tillim, Tod Papageorge, Alec Soth, Paolo Ventura, Tim Davis, Marco Delogu, Paolo Pellegrin, Hans-Christian Schink, Roger Ballen, Jon Rafman, Simon Roberts and Léonie Hampton.

Opening times: Tuesday - Sunday: 10:00am to 7:00pm (closed Mondays) / Last entrance is one hour before closing time / Tickets: 7.00 Euros (full price)
